La Casa Del Oso Grande - House of the Big Bear is a breath-taking custom vacation home that is over 4300 square feet. The home is only 23 miles from Colorado's world-class Breckenridge ski resort. Copper Mountain, Keystone, and A-Basin are also less than 30 minutes away. Access to the main highway (Highway 9) is less than 5 minutes so there are no long drive on dirt roads to get to all of the fun activities in the area.  The home has 7 large bedrooms each with it's own theme. Some include, the Coca Cola Room, the Genealogy Room, the Birdhouse Room, the Hat Room (dress-up clothes provided for the kids), and many more.  The home has a huge living room and trophy room with animal mounts from Alaska. There is an adult Casino Room upstairs with a full-size craps table, slot machines, and other games. The kids are not left out as they have their own game room on the other end of the house with a foosball table. There is even a tree house (The owner and Second Home Second Chance are not responsible for injuries. 

The bedrooms sleep a total of 16 people and there is also a crib for the baby in the family. The spacious dining room seats 16 people and the kitchen offers all of the modern amenities to cook for your family or group.

Outside there are many seating areas and porches to relax on. There is a conversation fire pit where you can relax at night or jump into the large brand new outdoor hot tub.

This home truly offers something for everyone. Whether you enjoy the recreation area surrounding the home or just stay on the property, you will never be bored.

The roads are county maintained all winter and the driveway is maintained after each snowfall. Four-wheel drive is suggested for this area as we do get some heavy snowfall.

You will be surrounded by outdoor and indoor activities. Whether your passion is skiing, shopping, hunting, ice-fishing, or horseback riding, you will find the best of the best within minutes of the home. There are two lakes  and rivers within 5-10 minutes of the home as well as old mines, hiking trails, snowshoeing, and 4-wheel trails.
