Limber Grove Lodge
From the moment you enter you will be entranced with the space and special touches taken in the building of this modern mountain home. From the high ceilings, large windows that bring the outside in, and a special Soapstone Fireplace that is the center piece of the home, you will be enthralled. In the main living room, large leather couches and chairs are waiting for you to sink in and relax. The flat screen television for your entertainment while waiting on the meals being prepared in the chef's kitchen or relaxing after a long day on the trails. The Great room flows from entrance to living area to dining room with an accent of this fantastic kitchen.
With the plentiful counters and everything you can think of to help with food preparation, the meals will be memorable and easy to produce.
The large counter has extra space for preparation, doing some of that work that can be necessary even on vacation, entertainment and game playing.
Make your meal plans and bring extra meat and produce for the "grill master" to pitch in, for another way to enjoy the great outdoor area. Family, friends and couples can make this a memorable space to have vacation or break from hectic life.
There is a family room with couch, floor and large table to play games, or put together puzzles. There is another flat-screen television for the younger ones to get away and make their own special memories, while the adults take over the Great Room.
Travel up the special staircase that has some of the Breckenridge ski resort gondola pulley used to make the stair rail. The landing goes out to the Balcony with chairs waiting for you to take in the mountain splendor.
Follow the hallway and the first bedroom has a Queen bed with plush pillows. With plenty of closet and cubbies for you to store all of your clothes. Next door the bunk bed room has both comfortable beds and a closet and cubbies also. You will find a full size bathroom, shared by both bedrooms, with everything needed to wash away the multiple activities you have done for the day.
To finish your path down the hallway, you will enter the Master Bedroom with the King bed waiting for your weary person to have that great night sleep. In the Master bathroom, there is a large walk-in shower, plenty of counter space and places to put your personal items. The windows make you feel like you are in the woods and yet you can shut them and have a restful night in the dark if you so desire.
Outside there is path through the trees for a special camping area if you want to bring a small tent, endless meadow area to set up a game of touch football, or Frisbee. Bring a blanket lay down and enjoy the endless blue sky and mountain views. Take family pictures, do morning yoga, dance like no one is watching.....you have privacy and the great outdoors to enjoy and make memories!
Breckenridge is only 25 miles from the home. Other Aspen Acres ski venues (Copper Mtn., Keystone, Vail, Monarch, Ski Cooper) are roughly 40 miles from the home. Other winter activities nearby include cross country skiing, snowmobiling. During the summer, there's white water rafting, hiking, ATV trails, biking, fishing, hunting, and camping. You can relax and just enjoy the natural beauty or head out to the nearby towns/resorts/parks, and enjoy the unlimited winter and summer activities the area has to offer.
In the summer you will be in the center of all activities including old mine ruins, Montgomery Reservoir, Mt. Lincoln, Mt. Bross, Mt. Quandry and many more. Fairplay (just 5 miles away) is the activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains and is often referred to as the Base Camp for all activities some of which include hiking, mountain climbing, horseback riding, ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, 4-wheeling, ATVing, mine exploring, canoeing, kayaking, and much, much more. Alma is only 5 minutes away and offers dining, shopping, and entrances to some of the most beautiful drives in Colorado such as Kite Lake, Bristlecone Pines, and Mosquito Pass.
If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will probably find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. It is a great home to call your "Base Camp".
**We are located in the Central Rockies so all of our homes are above 9,500 feet. Please be advised that elevation is a factor when deciding if this location is right for you. You are also required to have 4wd with good tires, or 4wd with chains if your tread is warn past 4/32 inch, during the winter months, November-May**
